What are check-ups & exams?
Regular dental check-ups let our dentists spot and treat problems early — from decay to gum disease and oral-health concerns. Most adults are seen every 6–12 months.

Regular check-ups at Hillsborough Family Dental Centre help keep your teeth and gums healthy and allow us to spot problems early, when they are usually simpler to treat. During your examination, your dentist will check your teeth, gums, and soft tissues, and may take X-rays if needed. This falls under NHS Band 1 (£27.90).
Most adults are seen every six to twelve months, depending on their dental health. We are currently accepting new NHS and private patients at our Hillsborough, Sheffield practice, so call 0114 234 4810 to request your first check-up.

On the NHS, this is a Band 1 treatment — £27.90.
Band 1 covers: Check-up, diagnosis, X-rays, scale & polish. Whatever treatment you receive within a single band, you pay just one charge per course of treatment.
