Dental implants replace one or more missing teeth with a stable, natural-looking result. A small titanium post is placed in the jawbone and, once it has healed and integrated, supports a crown, bridge or denture that looks and works much like a natural tooth.
At Hillsborough Family Dental Centre, on Victor Street in north-west Sheffield, we offer implant consultations to assess whether treatment is right for you. Not everyone is a candidate straight away — bone levels, gum health, smoking and general health all play a part — so your dentist will examine your mouth and explain the stages, timescales and costs clearly before anything is planned.
